Send the product charged, updated and with whatever it needs to work: a cable, an app account, a SIM, a hub it pairs to. A device that will not turn on cannot be demonstrated, and finding that out here costs you a week. Sending from outside the UK is routine. Post it as a commercial sample with a low declared value, allow for customs, and the clock starts the day it lands rather than the day it left you.
