The argument

You already know what a Booking.com night costs you

Commission on UK properties runs 15 to 25 percent depending on platform and tier. A direct booking costs roughly 4.5 percent once payment fees, the booking engine and a share of marketing are counted. That gap is the reason a hotel commissions content at all, and it is arithmetic rather than marketing.

£45lost per night at 25 percent
£8what the same booking costs you direct

A twenty room property at seventy percent occupancy sells roughly 420 room nights a month. At twenty percent commission that is about 15,000 a month leaving the business through the same two websites.

What that makes a package worth

Every price here, in room nights

At a 180 pound rate and twenty percent commission. Not a promise about results, just the same figure expressed two ways so you can weigh it against something you already track.

Be clear about this

We are not photographers, and that is deliberate

Two different jobs get confused constantly, and commissioning the wrong one is expensive. Here is the honest division.

  • A photographer gives you a libraryArchitectural interiors, lit properly, at high resolution, for a brochure or a print campaign. If that is the brief, hire one. We will say so.
  • We give you finished contentA long form film, Reels cut from the same visit and social stills, all in the formats the platforms want, ready to post without a marketing team turning them into anything.
  • Social stills are a by-product, not the productShot on the same visit, formatted for feed and Stories rather than for print. They are useful and they are included. They are not photography and we do not price them as though they were.
  • The one thing a photographer structurally cannot doPut two real people in the content. A couple stay, a genuine reaction, a first look at a room. That needs creators on camera, not a camera on a tripod.

Where it goes

Not just social

Hotels think of this as social content and then use it in five places. Worth planning for all of them from the start.

  • Your OTA galleryThe listing a guest sees before they ever reach your site. Better content there raises conversion on the channel you are trying to reduce, which is not a contradiction, it is a bridge.
  • Your website and booking engineWhere the long form film does the most work, because somebody comparing three properties will watch it.
  • Paid socialIncluded on most packages at no extra charge. Direct booking campaigns are the highest return use of any of this.
  • Email and metasearchThe places a still frame earns its place, and the reason the social stills are in the package at all.

Questions

What hotels ask first

Why it works

The case for filming your property properly

The annual shoot problem

Most properties commission content once, usually in summer, because that is when the building looks best. The result is a year of marketing that sells July to guests booking November. Rooms, light, menus and the reason somebody would come all change across a year, and a single shoot can only ever be right for one quarter of it. That is the case for the retainer rather than a bigger one off.

Long form is what a considered booking needs

Reels win attention and long form wins decisions. Somebody choosing between three properties for an anniversary watches the long one, because it is the only format that answers what it is actually like to stay there. It also sits on your listing, in your emails and in search results long after a Reel has stopped being served, which is why every hotel package here is built around a film rather than around a Reel count.

Why two creators changes the content

A solo creator films a property. Two people film a stay. The difference shows up in the one thing hotels most want and least often get: content with real people in it, reacting to a room, a dinner, a view. That is not a production trick, it is simply what happens when the people filming are also the guests.

Bespoke

A group, a launch, or something not on this list?

Some hospitality briefs do not fit a package. A group with several properties, an opening with a fixed press date, a wedding or events season, or a property outside the usual travel radius. When that is the shape of it we scope the work rather than pushing you into the nearest package.

Quotes are prepared individually. Send us the property, the dates and what you need it for, and we come back with scope and a fixed figure. Quotes can also be requested at [email protected].
