One off, everything below included
Nothing starts until we have confirmed the brief with you in writing, and we reply to a brief within one business day. A bigger catalogue is priced further down rather than behind a call.
Prices are in pounds sterling and no VAT is added. International clients are welcome, and the currency shown is the currency charged.
What you get
Exactly what is included, and what is not
The rows that say not included matter as much as the ones that do. A website quote that hides its boundaries is how a fixed figure quietly becomes a variable one, so the ceiling is stated here rather than in an email three weeks in.
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Platform | WordPress with WooCommerce. We do not build on Shopify, Wix or Squarespace. |
| Design and build | Full store: home, shop, product pages, cart, checkout, account, and the standard legal pages. |

| Payments | One payment gateway configured and tested end to end. |
| Shipping | One shipping zone with your rates configured. |
| Search and analytics | SEO plugin configured, analytics installed, Search Console and Bing verified, sitemap submitted. |
| Content | You supply product text and images. Copywriting and photography are not included. |
| Revisions | 1 consolidated round, collected in one go. |
| After launch | 30 day snag window for build defects. This is not maintenance. |
| Ongoing care | Not included. Updates, backups and monitoring are the Care plan. |
| Migrations | Not included. Moving an existing store starts with the Store Audit. |
| Ownership | Yours. Your hosting, your database, your logins, handed over at launch. |
Bigger catalogue
What a bigger catalogue costs, worked out in three lines
A twenty product store and a two hundred product store are the same three words and ten times the loading. Rather than hiding that in a quote, the extra is stated below so you can add it up yourself before contacting anyone.
- 01£3,450
The store build, including the first 20 products loaded, categorised and checked.
- 02£150 a block
Each additional block of 10 products, to the same standard as the first 20.
- 03You do the sum
Add the blocks you need. A hundred product store is the build plus eight blocks, and no discovery call is required to find that out.
If your catalogue runs to thousands of items with complex variations, that is genuinely a different job and we will say so rather than stretching a fixed figure to breaking point. Tell us the numbers and we will be straight with you.
Included
What the price covers
- A store designed around what you sellNot a template with your logo dropped in. The shop architecture follows your catalogue rather than the other way round.
- Checkout that worksOne gateway and one shipping zone, configured and tested with real transactions before launch.
- 20 products loadedCategorised, checked and live, from the content you supply.
- Findable from day oneSEO plugin configured properly, analytics installed, Search Console and Bing verified, sitemap submitted.
- The performance stackCaching, a CDN, image compression and script control, on the same stack we run our own stores on.
- A handover you can actually useLogins, documentation and a walkthrough. You own the site and can run it without us.
The two boundaries
What a fixed price can and cannot absorb
Two things decide whether this stays a fixed figure, so they are pulled out and stated in full rather than buried in a scope document.
Product content
Text and images for your products come from you. We structure, load and check them, and we will tell you when something will not work, but we do not write the copy or shoot the photography as part of this price.
- Product names, descriptions and prices
- Product images at usable resolution
- Your logo and any brand guidelines
- Copywriting and photography are not included
The snag window
30 days to report anything built wrong, fixed at no charge. It covers defects in what we built. It is not a maintenance period.
- Build defects fixed free for 30 days
- Not plugin or core updates
- Not backups or monitoring
- Ongoing care is the Care plan, priced separately
How it works
Four stages, and you know where you are in all of them
- BriefYou tell us what you sell and how it ships. We tell you honestly whether this price covers it, before any money moves. We reply within one business day.
- BuildDesigned and built on staging with your real products in it, not placeholder text. You see it working before it is public.
- Revise1 consolidated round. You collect everything in one go, we do it in one go, which is faster for both of us.
- Launch and hand overLive, with a 30 day snag window, a handover document and every login. You own the lot.
Terms in plain English
What you are agreeing to, without the legal register
This is the largest single thing sold on this site, so the clauses that actually govern it are here in the words we would use across a table.
- You own all of it, from the startHosting account, domain, database, logins, in your name. WooCommerce is open source, so there is no platform fee on your sales and no version of this where leaving us means leaving your store.
- The fixed price covers the scope on this pageAnything outside it is quoted before it starts, never absorbed quietly and never invoiced afterwards as a surprise.
- Content is yours to supplyProduct text and images. If they do not arrive, the project waits, and we would rather say that now than manage it by email later.
- One consolidated revision roundCollected in one go on the staging version. It is genuinely enough on a build you have already seen working.
- The snag window covers our work, not everything30 days for defects in what we built. It is not maintenance and it never silently becomes a plan.
- The rest is on the terms pagePayment, intellectual property and liability are set out in full on the terms and conditions. Read those rather than a summary of them.

Bespoke
A store bigger or stranger than this page assumes?
Some builds do not fit a fixed scope. A catalogue in the thousands, subscriptions, multiple currencies or languages, a marketplace migration with years of URLs to preserve, or a store where the checkout itself is the product. When that is the shape of it we scope the work rather than stretching this one until it stops meaning anything.
Quotes are prepared individually. Send us the shape of the problem and we come back with scope, timings and a fixed figure, usually within one business day.
- Catalogues in the thousands
- Subscription and repeat delivery stores
- Multi currency or multi language
- Migrations with URL history to preserve
- Custom checkout or booking flows

Questions
Before you order
A WooCommerce store of this size runs 4 to 6 weeks from brief to launch, once the product content is with us. That decides the date far more than the building does, which is why we ask for text and images up front rather than discovering the gap halfway through.
You add product blocks and the cost is stated rather than quoted. Each block of 10 products is £150, so you can calculate your own total before contacting us. If your catalogue runs to thousands of items with complex variations, that is a different job and we will say so.
Not as part of this price. You supply product text and images and we structure, load and check them. We do film product content as a separate service: our e-commerce UGC packages are videos for product pages and ad accounts, and the Launch Bundle includes three of them with this build.
No. We build and maintain WooCommerce only. That is a deliberate limit rather than a gap: one platform known properly is worth more to you than five known passably. We will happily move you onto WooCommerce from another platform, starting with the Store Audit.
You do, completely. Your hosting account, your domain, your database, your logins. WooCommerce is open source, so there is no platform fee on every sale and no version of this where leaving us means leaving your store behind.
You get a 30 day snag window, which covers anything we built wrong, fixed at no charge. That is not maintenance. Plugin updates, backups, security and monitoring are the Care plan, priced separately. We manage a maximum of 10 stores, so ask early if you want that.
Probably not. The Retrofit adds a shop to an existing WordPress site and styles the checkout to match what you already have. We confirm your theme is compatible free of charge before you buy. Sites that genuinely need rebuilding are quoted as a Store Build instead, and we tell you which one you need rather than selling you the larger one.
1 consolidated round. Collect everything you want changed and send it in one go rather than a fortnight of individual messages. It is faster for both of us and it is why one round is enough on a build that was agreed on staging first.
Why it works
The store build in practice
Why we only build on one platform
Most agencies will build you whatever you ask for, which sounds like flexibility until something breaks on a Friday evening and nobody has seen that plugin conflict before. We chose WooCommerce and learned it properly, on the same stack we run our own stores on. The site you are reading this on is a WooCommerce store, and HoneyBee and Co., our own brand, is another, with subscriptions, two currencies and two languages running through its checkout.
Where fixed price website work usually falls apart
It is almost never the design. It is the product content arriving late, the catalogue turning out to be four times bigger than described, or a feature nobody mentioned until week three. Those are the reasons quotes get revised, so this page names all three up front, before you pay rather than after.
What a real catalogue problem looks like
Silvi the Artist sells every work as an original, a canvas print and a paper print, each at three sizes, across seven series. That is a shop where the difficulty is making a genuinely complicated catalogue feel simple to a buyer who only wants one picture. It ships worldwide and scores in the nineties on desktop, and it is on the agency page with its measured numbers rather than a claim.
What you should ask any agency before you buy
Who owns the hosting and the domain at the end. What happens in the first month if something is wrong. Whether maintenance is included or sold separately, and at what price. Whether they will show you a store they built and its real performance scores. We answer all four here and on the agency page.
Not sure this is the right product? Tell us what you are selling and we will say plainly which one to order, including when it is a cheaper one.
A complete store, a figure you can see, and you own all of it
Add it to your basket and we confirm the brief before anything starts.
