What you get

Exactly what is included, and what is not

An audit is worth having only if it tells you what to do first. This one ends in a prioritised list, not a hundred page export from a crawler that nobody reads twice.

Why it exists

Three very different people buy this

The audit is the front door to everything else here, and it works for three people whose situations look nothing alike.

  • 01Something is wrong and nobody can say what

Sales dipped, the site feels slow, or a plugin update broke something last month. You need a diagnosis before you spend money on a fix, and you need it in writing rather than as an opinion on a call.

  • 02You are thinking about moving platforms

Migrations vary enormously depending on product data, URL structures and what is plugged in. The audit tells us exactly what is involved, which is why we start here rather than quoting a migration blind.

  • 03You want us to look after the store

No store joins a management plan without one. We are not taking responsibility for a plugin stack we have never examined, and you are not paying us to discover it slowly.

In all three cases the report is yours to keep and act on however you like, including by hiring somebody else.

Included

What the price covers

  • A real checkout testWe go through your checkout as a customer would, on mobile and desktop, and tell you where it leaks. This is the single most valuable page on a store and the one most rarely tested properly.
  • Performance with causes attachedNot a score. The specific things making it slow, in the order worth fixing them.
  • The plugin stack, examinedWhat is installed, what is abandoned, what is duplicating something else, and what is most likely to break at the next update.
  • Security postureVersions, login exposure, and whether your backups would actually restore.
  • On-site SEO for a shopProduct schema, indexation and the ecommerce specific issues generic SEO audits miss.
  • A prioritised fix listOrdered by impact against effort, so you know what to do first and what can wait.

The boundary

Diagnosis, deliberately

This product ends with a document. That is a feature rather than a limitation, and it is worth understanding why before you buy.

Included

The findings

Everything we find, written down, in an order you can act on. It is yours whether or not you ever work with us again.

  • Written report, plain English
  • Prioritised by impact against effort
  • Screenshots and specifics, not generalities
  • Useful to any developer, not just us
Not included

The fixing

We make no changes to your store as part of this. Implementation is agreed separately, or you take the list elsewhere.

  • No changes made to your site
  • No plugin installs or edits
  • Implementation quoted separately
  • Fee credited if you join a care plan

How it works

Order to report in four steps

  1. OrderAdd it to your basket. No consultation call required first.
  2. AccessSend your store URL through the contact page with your order number. We reply within one business day and tell you exactly what access we need.
  3. ExamineWe test the checkout, measure performance, review the stack and go through the store as a customer and as an administrator.
  4. ReportThe written report and the prioritised fix list, within 5 working days of access, plus a call to walk through it if you want one.
What access we need, and what we do with itRead access is enough for most of the audit. For the plugin and security sections we ask for a temporary administrator account, which you delete the day the report lands. We change nothing while we are in there, and we say so in writing before you grant it.

Terms in plain English

What you are agreeing to, without the legal register

You are about to give two strangers administrator access to the thing that takes your money. These are the clauses that actually govern that, written the way we would say them across a table.

  • We change nothingDiagnosis only, confirmed in writing before you grant access. Nothing installed, edited, deleted or updated.
  • The account is temporary and yours to revokeYou create it, you delete it the day the report lands. We never ask for payment gateway or banking credentials, and no honest audit needs them.
  • What we see stays with usYour revenue figures, your supplier arrangements and anything else visible in an administrator account are confidential and are not repeated to anyone.
  • The report is yours outrightAct on it, ignore it, or hand it to a different developer. There is no clause anywhere that ties the findings to hiring us.
  • We will turn work downIf the audit finds a job we are not the right people for, we say so and name what you actually need.
  • The rest is on the terms pagePayment, liability and confidentiality are set out in full on the terms and conditions. Read those rather than a summary of them.
Bigger than 100 products? The cap is there so the price holds. If your store is larger, tell us the numbers and we will say plainly what it costs rather than stretching this one until it stops being a fixed figure.

Bespoke

A store bigger or stranger than this page assumes?

Some stores do not fit a fixed scope. A catalogue in the thousands, a multi site network, a heavily customised checkout, a migration off another platform, or a store where the real question is whether to rebuild at all. When that is the shape of it we scope the work rather than stretching this product until it stops meaning anything.

Quotes are prepared individually. Send us the shape of the problem and we come back with scope, timings and a fixed figure, usually within one business day.

  • Catalogues in the thousands
  • Multi site or multi currency networks
  • Migrations off another platform
  • Heavily customised checkouts
  • Stores where a rebuild may be the answer

Questions

Before you order

Why it works

The audit in practice

Why the checkout gets tested by a human

Automated tools do not buy things. They will tell you a page is slow and miss entirely that your shipping calculator fails on a valid postcode, or that the confirmation email lands in spam, or that the mobile keyboard covers the card field. Those faults cost real orders every day and none of them show up in a crawl. Somebody has to go through and buy something.

Why the plugin stack matters more than most owners think

Most WooCommerce stores accumulate plugins the way a garage accumulates tools, and nobody removes anything in case it breaks something. The risk is not the number, it is the abandoned ones: a plugin last updated three years ago is a security exposure and a compatibility failure waiting for the next core release. Knowing which of yours are in that state is usually the most immediately actionable thing in the report.

What ordering the list is actually worth

Any competent audit can produce forty findings. The difficult and useful part is saying which three matter this month and which of the rest can wait a year, because a store owner with a job to do cannot act on forty. That ordering is the product, and it is why this report is short rather than long.

Why we audit the platform we run ourselves

The site you are reading this on is a WooCommerce store, our honey brand is another, and the store we built for Silvi the Artist carries a catalogue in the hundreds with worldwide shipping. Every fault named in this report is one we have met on a store of our own or a client's, which is a different thing from reading about it.

Not sure this is what you need? Describe what is happening and we will say plainly whether an audit will answer it.
