Voiceover UGC
UGC voiceover creator UK: when the video is better without a face in it
Narration over product footage, a screen recording or a real day. Same creator, same brief, nobody on camera. It is cheaper, it is faster, and for some products it is the only format that works at all.

Briefed through any category, from
There is no separate voiceover product. It is a format you ask for inside the category that matches your product, at the same price. Which category is yours.
The decision
Three reasons to choose it, and one real reason not to
Most brands default to a face on camera because that is what UGC means to them. Sometimes that is right. Here is when it is not, and the one thing you give up by going without.
Three cases where it wins
Not a cheaper compromise. In each of these it is the better answer, and in the first it is the only answer.
- The product is a screen. An app, a dashboard, a booking flow. You cannot film a screen with a person in front of it and still show the thing working
- You do not want a face tied to your brand. Nothing on the asset dates when the creator relationship ends, so the video outlives it
- You are testing at volume. Narration is faster to produce and faster to re-cut, so the same footage carries several scripts
- It does not make a weak product persuasive. Nothing does
What you give up
Whitelisting means your ads run from a creator handle rather than from your brand account, so they carry a real person's name and following instead of a logo. That is the one capability voiceover cannot give you, and it is worth knowing before you choose.
- No creator handle to run the ad from, because there is no creator in the frame
- No face for a returning viewer to recognise across a campaign
- Reaction driven categories lose their strongest moment
- Not a reason to avoid it, a reason to choose deliberately
The four shapes
What a voiceover brief actually looks like
- Screen recording, narratedThe product in use, captured on screen, with commentary explaining what is happening and why it matters. The default for apps, software and anything with an interface.
- Product footage, narratedThe product handled, opened, poured or worn, with the review spoken over the top. The visual carries the product and the voice carries the opinion.
- Text on screen with voiceReadable with the sound off and informative with it on, which is how most of a feed is actually consumed. Strong for comparisons and for anything with a number in it.
- Hook first ad cutNarration written to earn the first two seconds rather than to explain. Same body, several openings, which is the only test that isolates the opening.
- A UK voice, and it is audibleNarrated here rather than bought from a marketplace, so the accent and the phrasing are the ones your UK buyer uses.
- Scripted with you, not at youSend the messages that must land and the ones that must not be said. The script comes back before anything is recorded.
Where to order it
Six categories where voiceover is the usual answer
Ask for voiceover in the brief and the price does not change. These six are the ones where it is most often the right call.
| Category | Why voiceover here | From | Packages |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apps and SaaS | The product is a screen. There is no on camera version of it. | £180 | Apps and SaaS |
| Tech and Electronics | Setup and feature walkthroughs need both hands and a clear view of the device. | £165 | Tech and Electronics |
| Paid Ads Creatives | Narration is the fastest thing to vary, so one shoot yields several openings to test. | £155 | Paid ads creatives |
| E-commerce and DTC | Comparisons and problem to solution read better narrated than performed. | £150 | E-commerce and DTC |
| Lifestyle | A product inside a real day, with the opinion spoken over it rather than to camera. | £130 | Lifestyle |
| Beauty and Skincare | Texture and application close ups, where hands are the shot and a face would crowd it. | £140 | Beauty and Skincare |
Voiceover can be asked for in any of the twelve categories on the UGC portfolio, not only these six. If your buyer needs to see a person, women led, men led and couple are the on camera versions. Prices are in pounds sterling and no VAT is added. If you are ordering from outside the UK your card issuer sets the exchange rate, and anything due in your own country is outside our invoice.
The work
Four from the categories where narration is usual
Beauty, fashion, wellness and unboxing, filmed in house on real client briefs. Press a thumbnail to play; nothing loads until you do.
Beauty and skincare
Fashion and clothing
Wellness and fitness
Unboxing
Labelled by category, because that is what is recorded against each one. If you want to hear a narrated read against your own product rather than judge it from a clip, ask and we will record a short sample.
How it works
Order to delivery in four steps
- Pick the categoryFrom the six above, or any of the twelve on the portfolio. The price is the category price.
- Say voiceover in the briefName the shape you want, the messages that must land and anything that must not be said. We reply within one business day.
- Approve the wordsA draft comes back before anything is recorded, so the wording is agreed rather than discovered on delivery.
- Receive the filesBy shared Google Drive, in every ratio your tier includes, which is 9:16, 4:5 and 1:1 from Standard up.
Turnaround is 5 working days on Basic, 7 working days on Standard and 10 working days on Premium, counted from the day the brief and the product or the login are with us. Physical products post to High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. Software needs a login and nothing ships at all, which is part of why screen led work is the fastest thing we make.

Questions
Before you order
No, and it is worth being straight about that. The price is the category price either way, because the work is the same: brief, script, shoot, edit. What voiceover is is faster and easier to re-cut, so the same footage can carry several scripts. If your reason for choosing it is budget, the honest answer is to order a shorter length instead.
From Standard upwards. Organic use on your own channels plus paid media rights for 12 months from delivery. The platforms covered are Meta, meaning Facebook and Instagram, plus TikTok and Google including YouTube. The one thing it cannot do is run from a creator's own handle: Whitelisting means your ads run from a creator handle rather than from your brand account, so they carry a real person's name and following instead of a logo. That needs a face in the frame, so if partnership style ads are the plan, order an on camera format instead.
Velena writes and records it. Nothing is synthesised and no voice is bought from a marketplace. It is a UK voice with UK phrasing, which matters more than it sounds: a mid Atlantic read is the single fastest way to tell a UK viewer that the recommendation is not from somebody like her.
We do, from your brief, and you approve it before anything is recorded. Send the messages that have to land and anything that must not be said, which for regulated categories is the more important list. If you have a script already, send it and we will tell you honestly whether it reads aloud, because a script that looks right on a page often does not.
A working login is enough, and nothing ships. Send credentials with enough access to reach the screens you want shown, and say which flows matter. Screen led work is the fastest thing we make for exactly this reason: there is no product in the post and no shoot day to schedule around.
Yes. Ask through the contact page and we will record a short sample reading your own product copy rather than send a reel, because a reel tells you the voice is competent and a sample tells you whether it suits your brand.
Top Rated on Upwork with 100 per cent Job Success, and 5 star rated on Fiverr. Both founders guest lecture at the University of Greenwich on social media and content strategy. Filming since 2022, 100+ brands. Our own press is Women's Health. Client coverage in Vogue, Conde Nast and TimeOut belongs to the client and is labelled that way rather than borrowed.
Routinely, and for screen led work there is nothing to post, so location changes nothing at all. Bear in mind the voice is British. If you need an American read for an American audience, we are the wrong supplier and will say so.
In practice
How brands actually use narrated content
The screen case is not a preference
If the product is software, there is no on camera version of the demonstration. A person talking about a dashboard is not showing you the dashboard. Every brand selling an interface eventually works this out, usually after paying for a talking head that had to be re-cut into a screen recording anyway.
The asset outlives the relationship
A video with a face in it is tied to that person. When the relationship ends, or the creator's own brand moves somewhere you would rather not be associated with, the asset ages with them. Narrated content does not carry that risk, which is why brands running long campaigns often keep a narrated set alongside the on camera work rather than instead of it.
Test the opening, not the format
The temptation with narration is to write one good script. The better move is to write three openings for the same footage and let a small budget decide, because almost all of the difference between a video that performs and one that does not sits in the first two seconds. Narration is the cheapest part of a shoot to vary, which makes this format the easiest place to run that test.
Where narration is the wrong answer
Anywhere the reaction is the product demonstration. A first bite, a fit check, a routine on real skin. Those need somebody it is happening to, which is women led, men led or couple work. If you are unsure which side your product falls on, tell us what it is and we will say, including when the answer costs you less.
Not every video is better with a face in it
Pick the category closest to your product, ask for voiceover in the brief, and the price is the same. Or send us the product and we will tell you which format it wants.
